Hi Y'all! I'm Serena Jenichs, owner of Studio Siubar.

I am a North County SD girl. I've been growing my career since 2009. I have received loads of mentoring, education and moral support along the way. I do what I do every day because I love my people and beauty-making comes naturally to me!

Whether you're here to book an appointment (yay!) or learn more about my offerings or my cool community of  service providers, creatives and healers...
I hope you find what you are looking for.

Stay tuned... I will be updating my website with resources like Product Knowledge, Hair Philosophy & MORE!

the Studio siubar philosophy is all about love

The meaning crafted into Siubar, pronounced (Soo-bar) is: My sacred creative space for beauty-making and expression of the soul.

This is what I love providing for my guests. Together, we shine light on our beauty care rituals, nurture community and have fun while we evolve & create.

At Studio Siubar, you can count on conscious Haircare Services, healthy Personal Care Products and unique Handmade Goods  that stand the tests of time and experience. Click here for our Vagaro menu, or click here to reach out!

My wish for you: May every visit to our sweet little studio evoke feelings of inspiration, joy and peace.

Tucked away from the busy 101 of Downtown Encinitas, this bungalow is my vision come to life: a peaceful place to hang out and care for your hair's health and beauty. I see it  as an inviting space that nurtures the heart of community & light of spirit. Those two things inspire my future visions while for now, the Little Blue Bungalow is what we call Siubar's home.

xo, Serena

After a decade of building my career in Solana Beach with Ubuntu Hair Studio, in 2019 it became time to relocate and nurture my own vision. I honor my roots that Ubuntu helped nourish so I could blossom. I had the opportunity to setup shop just 2.5 miles North in Encinitas and settle into a private salon suite. InStyle Salons served  as a great landing place and cocoon for transformation. In 2020, our pandemic survival skills were tested. Suddenly during the 2nd shutdown of COVID, our neighbors left their space, leaving an old barber shop as a blank canvas to further express the Siubar vision. We couldn't pass up the opportunity to provide some outdoor space, air, natural light and privacy which all support the changing times and needs of the people.
